Lissie - When I'm Alone

This is 'When I'm Alone' by Lissie. This music video is how I imagine my music video to look like. I really like the variety in shots used, as well as the different locations which are incorporated. Most of all, I like the natural and careless feel as the singer has comfortable clothes that still fit with her style of music and also, she wears little make-up showing she is comfortable in her own skin.

This is a medium of the singer, showing a desert-like environment. There are warm filters being used that gives this video a warm/summer feel.

This shots shows a second location which is seen through out the music video. It is set in a metal barn, but holes have been cut into the wall, so the light shines through. These rays of light really stand out against the black background.

This is a closeup shot of a car. A lens flare has been used, developing the natural/warm colours of the sun, creating a rustic/vintage feel, suiting the artist well.

This extreme closeup of the drum, emphasises the drum beat in the song. This shot is set in barn, as the light is shining on it in random places.

This shot shows the intensity in the singers face as she sing, but also highlights the element of lip-synching. The use of a live performance, adds variety to the video, but also makes it more grungey.

This is one of the ending shots. The sunlight coming through the holes in the barn are really strong now, which mirrors the intensity in the song. The light is so strong that it is creating a blurred effect.
